MY- LOWANNA- LEE
Lowanna – Describes a beautiful tranquil place.!
We are located just outside Toowoomba, QLD, on the Great Dividing Range, nestled amongst national parks, rainforests, bushwalks, native birds, and tall timbers. With a day trip drive to Brisbane CBD: Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
I come from a military family background with a strong people focus, helping and pleasing others I found myself completely lost. With no direction, I began searching (Like yourself right now) In 2019 I found The Aus Cobberdog (and I too said A WHAT … I’ve never heard of Them…) LOL! (And what a web of confusion at times right Don’t worry you’re not alone IM STILL LEARING) … SO, I asked myself could this be my direction, a passion, a way to heal myself, sharing and help others with Animal therapy and services and The Australian Cobberdog.
What it was back then and what it is today with new Science technology and programs available this breed in development is both exciting and challenging.
In 2021 I finally purchased my first beautiful breeding founding female. With commitments, and family around me with PTSD Diabetes, ADHD, SD, and Dyslexia, Ageing parents, and becoming a Breeder (A path I never saw myself in). I feel I have the understanding and firsthand experience.
My personal growth and experience of gaining back courage and confidence, all happened with the most amazing companion and sidekick.
Lovelocks Mikiko (Our founding female) has the best temperament, empathy, human focus, and connection. With high intelligence and a goofy, fun-loving personality, she embodies the true Australian Cobberdog. Along with all of her progeny.
With the support of leading breeders, a Mentorship program Empowered puppy course, (Badass Breeder), my studies will not end there as I take on a further study program, I have completed a grooming course with the Australian grooming Academy. I attended Animal Assisted Service Sector Conference in Brisbane 2023. And I will continue become more knowledgeable.
In my short time of breeding, I have certainly faced some difficult challenges as this is a breed development there are many things to consider and for me the most important part is being ethical and honorable to these amazing developing canines. I have taken on / Purchased; Older adult dogs and Litters and puppies within my own breed Providing health care; nutrition; de-sexing to offer to only qualifying respectful dog families Ready to acquire. (And they will stay with me for as long as it takes to find their right connection)
Our goal and focus are to produce quantity and outstanding temperament tested, confident and capable, with our puppy curriculum, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Sent Induction (ESI) Tactile and Sound Stimulation. The Parental selections we make is based on our criteria of DNA, Pennhip scored, hip and elbow, eye and heart health testing. Moving forward to better our breed taking into account Many new developing tests that are being recognized as a way forward to assist in better selection for breeding and development. Our puppy’s will be sent home with Some basic beginning foundations ready for your future training, ready to become your family companion or Service Dog.
For this reason, as an Ethical Breeder, (With our females only ever having A maximum of 3 litters.) We will remain small and selective, focusing on these enduring qualities, not quantity. To help us plan our program we invite you to express the interest in a pairing / potential mating for upcoming litters as soon as you have made your decision… (Our minimal availabilities can fill up very quickly with families on a reservation list.)
We look forward to bringing you a joyful connection and welcoming you as one of the families (Tribe) here at Mylowannalee.
